euphoria is a three-man band from Tokyo, Japan, consisting of Hiroyuki Morikawa (guitar, vocals, programming), Shota Sato (bass) and Yosuke Kinoshita (drums). The band was formed during the winter of 2001.
euphoria's music sometimes has a lyrical, atmospheric and cinematic touch to it. It is said as if they sounded a silent roar and brought listeners fairy-tale landscapes with their music. So far, they have played with The Album Leaf (US), Tarentel (US), Bellini (Italy), Yndi Halda (UK), and many other bands. Their six officially released records are available in Japan (download available worldwide on iTunes Stores). The guitarist/vocalist Hiroyuki Morikawa is also known as his solo electronica project called organic stereo.
The band is now branching out around the world. In the end of 2007, they got involved in a remix CD for a Swedish band Ef with Stafraenn Hakon (IS), Isan (UK) and other artists. They played for an audience of 3,000 at Fat Festival, the largest rock festival in Thailand in November 2006, which was their first time to play outside Japan and they obtained a big success. At the Silent Ballet, a music webzine focused on instrumental and experimental forms of music based in US, euphoria was featured as a band of the week.
